Stella 7 months

Stella was 7 months on Sunday. We are sleeping through the night consistently now. We have gone through all of the baby food now and we like it sometimes. She really still does not like cereal and I have to let her have a taste of fruit before feeding veggies. Trick her! My kids are not eaters from the beginning I promise but maybe I am doing something wrong. They love breast feeding though! She really wants to move more and more. We are still not sitting up unsupported so hopefully soon. She seems more active than Brooklyn was. She is also getting less fussy at night and before afternoon nap. We have put her in bathtub with Brooklyn several times after she gets done with hers and she absolutely loves it. She cracks up. They are going to have so much fun in the bathtub! Here are some pictures from Gymboree today.

Austin weekend

This weekend we took a road trip for Austin to meet the Garrett family for the Texas Tech-Texas game. This will be a yearly tradition. They will come to Dallas and go to Lubbock when the game is there and we will go to Austin when the game is there. The boys go to the game now but maybe we will add the girls and the kids in a couple of years. We stayed with John's parents and Trinity and I managed the chaos with the kids. We had a great time and the Holly and Brooklyn loved playing together.

We also made a stop and Lucy and Rich's (Kim's brother in law) for a lunch cookout. Thanks Rich and Lucy for the great burgers! Brooklyn loves playing with Sophie and Liza. Needless to say we were surrounded by t-sips!!!

Chucke Cheese with Aubrey

I know some parents avoid Chucke Cheese but Brooklyn and I like it! We go there a lot. Brooklyn loves Chucke and loves playing there. I love it because it is an easy place to go with 2 kids. Erin and Aubrey met us there. We love playing with Aubrey. Brooklyn talks about Aubrey a lot. Erin took them up into the big playscape and of course Brooklyn came down and said "again"!

Playgroup at our house

A couple of weeks ago we had playgroup at our house. We had 11 kids and their parents and even some grandparents at our house. We played with some Play-doh and played with toys. It is nice because we don't have to watch the kids as much as if we were at a public place and we get to talk more. Mimi (my mom) particpated in all of the activities. Brooklyn was not sure what to do with all of these people at her house. She did not like anybody playing with Dolly. The best part about having playgroup at your house is that Stella gets to take her morning nap!

A picture of the group (could not get everyone in it)

Stella the Acrobat

It seems like this week Stella has entered the phase where she is not in the same place that I left her. This was the position she was in when I came back downstairs from putting Brooklyn down for her nap. If I just sit her in her car seat to do something real quick and don't buckle her she flips to her tummy in the car seat and she is seriously rolling across the floor. I don't remember Brooklyn rolling that much. She is going to be on the move soon!

Brooklyn's first day of preschool

Brooklyn did great on her first day of preschool. No tears! I think she loved it! I hope she still likes it on Thursday!

Ms. April said she like the instruments and the fingerplays (5 little monkeys and wheels on the bus) the best. I am not surprised as she has always liked music. I think she might be my music and drama girl. I have no idea who she gets that from (I guess her aunts). I am really impressed with the school. They sent home a note about how she did, what she did, what she ate etc. Ms. April also sent me pics of her first day!

A little skeptical

This is the pic Ms April sent of her playing instruments (Sorry, picture is turned)

This was the cutest part. I got a little sappy about this but you know me not too sappy. When they come out they line up at the door and we are outside the door. She just looked so grown up!

Stella 6 months

Well Stella is 6 months. We have reached a milestone age. We are back to sleeping well as she had been waking up off and on and not really crying just whining or talking so most of the time I let her be. Still annoying b/c you are still awake that whole time but still better than up all the time. She is still fussy at night before bed, she started eating veggies this week, she is not sitting up yet but maybe we are getting close, and she is pushing up on her front and she has been rolling over both ways for a awhile but she does it a lot. I can't say what her personality will be like yet, she smiles a lot and talks and is generally a happy baby. I am still nursing her so I will until she does not want it but I would like to do it until she is about 13 months (to get her through the winter) She is still running about a pound bigger than Brooklyn.

Her stats:
Weight: 15 lbs 30%
Height:25 inches 30%
