Stella 5 months

Stella is now 5 months! She is rolling over both ways now and still starting to grab things. She was sleeping through the night all the time but last week I decided to unswaddle her and we have heard her cry a little bit each night and not always do I have to go up there but I have had to feed her a couple of times. Either she really like being swaddled or she is going through a growth spurt. She may not be as good a sleeper as her sister but I am sure she will excel in other areas. She will start rice cereal soon so maybe she will be my eater (it took Brooklyn 5 weeks before she would eat rice cereal). She seems to be a happy baby smiling a lot and giggling if you get her going. Her are pics of Stella!

Brooklyn is 2!!!

I can't believe Brooklyn is 2! She is such a sweet child! Of course she has her moments. Her birthday was on Monday but she had her 2 year checkup today. She is 25 lbs (30%) and 34 inches (60%). I can't even start to tell you how many things she is doing. She knows her colors and starting to sing her ABC's and starting to know her numbers and shapes. She has started memorizing her books, singing and can repeat anything you say! She also loves to dance! She loves her Aunt Kim and Aunt Heather and cries when they leave. We are back and forth on going to the potty but hides when she poops and tells me "change it". I am not pushing it but it is only a matter of her deciding it. I think it is so funny that she now says things are "cute" Here are some recent pictures of her!

Miller's birthday party

We had a great and crazy time in Houston celebrating Miller's birthday! We stayed with Katie and it was crazy but great memories. I asked Katie "when will it ever be fun we get together and not so chaotic" but I don't think that is not going to happen especially when Kim adds some kids to the mix. There was always someone crying. We did get an hour on Sat when everyone was asleep. Miller's birthday party was so fun! The kids had a great time. I got to catch up with my college roomies and it seems we only do that a couple times of year.

Recent Pics

Here are a few pics from the last couple of weeks. We are getting ready to celebrate Brooklyn's 2nd birthday soon. I can't believe she will be 2! We are first traveling to Houston for Miller's birthday and then the next weekend they are coming here for Brooklyn's birthday. Lots of cousin time!

We have been having at a lot of fun at Paradise Pond with our playgroup. The last picture is Brooklyn putting her doll on the potty. We had some success with the potty about a month ago but we are not interested in it right now.

Stella 4 month stats

Stella had her 4 month checkup yesterday and she is doing very good. She weighs 12 lbs 13 oz (27%) and is 24.5 inches (58%). She is a pound heavier than Brooklyn was at this age. She is a strong little girl. She is holding her head up really well when on her tummy and rolling over from tummy to back and trying the other way. The doctor said she can bear weight on her legs better than most 6 month olds. She may be my athlete. I need at least one athlete. She smiles a lot and I can get some giggles out of her when I try hard. I think she is going to be my blue eyed child. I can't believe it!

She is still sleeping from 8p-7a most of the time. Every now and then she wakes up. I am trying to stop swaddling her during the day but that is not going well. Brooklyn never skipped a beat after unswaddling but she is a perfect sleeper. I don't think you can get a better sleeper than her.

She is growing so fast! I feel like it is going a lot faster the second time just because I am busier. It seems like it took Brooklyn forever to get to 4 months old. I am trying to enjoy it more but the baby stage is very confining with naps and breastfeeding.
