Stella 14 months

Stella has been so happy the last month. She has been easier than Brooklyn lately. She finally broke 3 top teeth at the same time and we are much happier. The girl has been weaned for 8 or 9 weeks and she still will not drink any milk. She will drink some water now but she may not be a milk drinker. She still eats baby food and ever so slightly she is eating more table food. She is so skeptical of anything you try to give her. Her big breakthrough this week is that she picked up her cereal bar to eat it (she picks up everything else but some reason she wanted me to feed it to her), Brooklyn was so excited for her! She said "She is picking up her cereal bar!" I tell you what this girl has her mind made up. She sleeps really good and take sometimes 2 naps and sometimes just 1 nap. She says quite a few things. Here is the list: mama, dada, night night, thank you, cracker (loves crackers), shoes (sh)...those are just some I can think of.

We also officially have a walker! She has been taking steps and standing alone since 12 months but now she can take at least 10 steps so I guess I will call that walking.

Saturday at the Arboretum

We met Kim at the Arboretum on Saturday. It was a beautiful and the Arboretum is always so pretty. We took some pics and Stella is at a much better age for picture taking. You just take what you can get with Brooklyn. Once you snap the pic she turns her head.

Little Gym playdate

We had a fun playdate with Mom's League today at Little Gym. Everytime we go there Brooklyn has a blast. It is good place for me to take both of them and not go too crazy. It is a contained space and Brooklyn pretty much does her own thing. Stella had a blast also.

Swimming videos

Here are a couple of recent videos of Brooklyn swimming and the debut of the "big slide".

Easter Festivities 2010

We had a week full of Easter activities including Mom's league easter party, easter party at school, and then we went to Fredericksburg for Easter weekend and Poppy's birthday. Brooklyn was talking big game about how excited she was to see the Easter bunny and then she backed down and clung to my leg. I got the stomach bug in Fredericksburg so I did not get to go to Easter church. I am wondering if it was a bug because no one else got it. The girls slept in the same room together the whole weekend and did pretty good. They were up early though! It was so funny they talked to each other and Brooklyn reassured Stella a couple of times and said "I think Mommy and Daddy are in the other room".
