Stella 11 months

Stella is almost one! I really can't believe it. Her personality is coming through more everyday. She is going to have to have a strong personality since she is the little sister. Brooklyn constantly tries to make her mad even though Brooklyn loves her. Stella is the first thing Brooklyn asks about when she wakes up from her nap. Stella has started clapping, giving kisses, and she gets excited when Laird gets home. She just gives him kiss after kiss. It is so cute. In the last few days I have actually seen her eat a few puffs but not any other table food. I have tried bananas, pieces of soft sweet potato fries, rice, cheese and she has no interest. Brooklyn was very similar. She is still nursing 4 times a day and she is sleeping really well. Since Brooklyn has been potty training we are in the bathroom a lot and Stella is right there in the middle of it putting her hand in toilet and getting into everything in there. I have heard her say "momma", bye-bye (waving), dada, and uh-oh.

Here is a recent video of Stella clapping.

Here is a video of Brooklyn and Stella shaking cracker bags. We have all these toys and this is what entertains them!

Brooklyn's playgroup at the Fire Station

Brooklyn's playgroup visited the new Southlake Fire Station today. It was probably the first time I have visited one also. They loved it. Stella was there too but no pics of her (she was in Bjorn).

T-R-O-U-B-L-E

Stella is into everything and we are fighting her climbing the stairs. She is just so cute because she knows she is not supposed to do it and she looks at you before she does anything.

Very Cold, No School day

We spent last Thursday inside all day because it was in the single digits. There was a little ice on the roads so Brooklyn's school was cancelled...So i decided to take a few pictures.

Stella 10 months

Stella was 10 months on the 27th of December. She has really become a different baby in the last month. We had to up her dose of reflux medicine and she is happier and now eating more baby food. We still do not like finger foods but we are moving in the right direction. We eat baby food without crying every time we get in the highchair. She is really moving fast and has started to pull up on everything. She can even go up the stairs a couple of steps but that is a big no-no. She loves playing and stealing Brooklyn's toys. She said her first words. She has said "momma" very clearly a couple of times when coming towards me. She is starting to mimic and says uh-oh when prompted. I think she says "dada" too but the "momma" was very clear. She is really a Momma's baby recently and cries when I leave the room or when she is dropped off anywhere. She did really good on our trip and slept good. Naps were a little shorter because we had so many people around. I think she is a very light sleeper. She is still nursing 5 times and I have to cut her down to four and then I will start weaning at 12 months.

Charleston Trip

We headed to Charleston the day after Christmas with the Sparks clan. We rented a beach house and there were 13 of us staying in the house. We had a great time eating at our favorite places in Charleston. Charleston has the best restaurants. The girls did pretty good on the plane but it was undertaking to get everything packed and on the plane. We had lots of help from Nonna, Poppy, and Aunt Vivi. Thank you!!!

This was Brooklyn and Stella's first time at the beach. Brooklyn loved running around. There were tons of starfish and she was not too sure about those. Stella is still too young to enjoy the beach but did like being out there.

White Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas. The highlight was the snow and that Brooklyn was so upset about Santa eating her cookies. We had Nonna, Poppy, Mimi, Pappy, Kim, and Rob for Christmas lunch.
