Brooklyn's first day of preschool

Brooklyn did great on her first day of preschool. No tears! I think she loved it! I hope she still likes it on Thursday!

Ms. April said she like the instruments and the fingerplays (5 little monkeys and wheels on the bus) the best. I am not surprised as she has always liked music. I think she might be my music and drama girl. I have no idea who she gets that from (I guess her aunts). I am really impressed with the school. They sent home a note about how she did, what she did, what she ate etc. Ms. April also sent me pics of her first day!

This was the cutest part. I got a little sappy about this but you know me not too sappy. When they come out they line up at the door and we are outside the door. She just looked so grown up!

Stella 6 months

Well Stella is 6 months. We have reached a milestone age. We are back to sleeping well as she had been waking up off and on and not really crying just whining or talking so most of the time I let her be. Still annoying b/c you are still awake that whole time but still better than up all the time. She is still fussy at night before bed, she started eating veggies this week, she is not sitting up yet but maybe we are getting close, and she is pushing up on her front and she has been rolling over both ways for a awhile but she does it a lot. I can't say what her personality will be like yet, she smiles a lot and talks and is generally a happy baby. I am still nursing her so I will until she does not want it but I would like to do it until she is about 13 months (to get her through the winter) She is still running about a pound bigger than Brooklyn.

Brooklyn faced her fears and took a picture with Chucke and also gave him several fives. She was definitely keeping her eye on him.

Stella eating cereal

I started Stella on cereal today. I started it a little earlier than 6 months for several reasons. She weighs more than Brooklyn did, she is not sleeping as well as she was and it took Brooklyn forever to get the hang of it so I am giving Stella a running start. I think she actually ingested some and did not cry. I think she will be easier. We will see!

New Cousins!

Brooklyn's 2nd birthday party

Brooklyn had a great party! I got a little nervous around 9:00 am when I looked outside and it was very dark and I was already freaking out. So Katie suggested we send Kim to Target to get some play doh and fingerpaints for an indoor party! It poured for a little while and then about 10:30 it cleared up and we played outside. I think the kids had a blast. Brooklyn played very hard this weekend! She was beat after the long weekend!
