Lucky 07's at the zoo

We made a 2nd trip to the zoo since Stella. We went with our playgroup. It was better than the first one with 2 but still hard. Everyone was very good until we had to wait in line to get food. Once we started eating everyone was calm again. Brooklyn had another meltdown when we left. She always cries everytime we leave somewhere. All and all it was a good outing.

Duncan Family visit

Clint, Evelyn, and Fiona made a quick visit to Dallas. I am sorry it had to be so short. Fiona is just 2 weeks younger than Stella. Brooklyn, Stella, and Fiona will be hanging out a lot in the years to come. Brooklyn loved Fiona. Stella was old news. She was very concerned about where Fiona was the whole time. Fiona was crawling at 6 months and Stella is a little jealous she can't move yet!!!

Aubrey's birthday party

Brooklyn and I went to Aubrey's birthday party at the pumpkin patch. Laird stayed home with Stella. It was pretty chilly but really good pumpkin patch weather. October is just a great month for a birthday! I don't think I ever realized that as a child with an October birthday. The birthday party was so much fun. We went on a hayride, fed cows and donkeys, did a lot of sliding, and went through a corn maze. Brooklyn did not want to leave. Lots more pumpkin patch pictures to come over the next few weeks!

Playdate with Milla

Since the rest of our playgroup went to see a play we invited Milla over for a playdate. We played and baked Halloween cookies. We put icing, chocolate chips and sprinkles on them. Brooklyn loved the cookies! Thanks Ashlee for bringing over cookies!

Oktoberfest in Fredericksburg

We went to Fredericksburg last weekend for Oktoberfest. The car ride there and back was pretty bad with Stella. She does not sleep much and screams for the last 30 min-1 hr.

On Saturday morning it was raining but we went to Oktoberfest and battled the rain. We actually had a good time with Brooklyn and Nonna and Poppy stayed with Stella. We did the chicken dance and the hokey pokey which is Brooklyn's favorite. We also got her a tutu and butterfly wings from one of the vendors for $14. Those are usually expensive. We tried to get her face painted but she was not having any of that.

We also went to a restaurant, Hill Top Cafe Saturday night outside Fredericksburg and it was excellent food. It was real rustic and had some live music. We had a good time with Heather and Clint.

Stella 7 months

Stella was 7 months on Sunday. We are sleeping through the night consistently now. We have gone through all of the baby food now and we like it sometimes. She really still does not like cereal and I have to let her have a taste of fruit before feeding veggies. Trick her! My kids are not eaters from the beginning I promise but maybe I am doing something wrong. They love breast feeding though! She really wants to move more and more. We are still not sitting up unsupported so hopefully soon. She seems more active than Brooklyn was. She is also getting less fussy at night and before afternoon nap. We have put her in bathtub with Brooklyn several times after she gets done with hers and she absolutely loves it. She cracks up. They are going to have so much fun in the bathtub! Here are some pictures from Gymboree today.

Austin weekend

This weekend we took a road trip for Austin to meet the Garrett family for the Texas Tech-Texas game. This will be a yearly tradition. They will come to Dallas and go to Lubbock when the game is there and we will go to Austin when the game is there. The boys go to the game now but maybe we will add the girls and the kids in a couple of years. We stayed with John's parents and Trinity and I managed the chaos with the kids. We had a great time and the Holly and Brooklyn loved playing together.

We also made a stop and Lucy and Rich's (Kim's brother in law) for a lunch cookout. Thanks Rich and Lucy for the great burgers! Brooklyn loves playing with Sophie and Liza. Needless to say we were surrounded by t-sips!!!
