Stella's bath time - 4 weeks

This post is a little late but Stella was 4 weeks this past Friday. Stella is doing good. She is starting to go 4 hours between feeds at night. She really likes to be held. She is not as much of a swing girl as Brooklyn was. Brooklyn is loving on her more and more.

On the other hand Brooklyn turned 20 months on the same day and the last couple of days she has been a little toot. We could be starting the terrible 2's. We have to start cracking down.

We have started getting out more and learning how to get around with 2 has been a learning process. I am sure I will get it figured out.

Stella - 2 weeks

Here are pictures of Stella at 2 weeks. She was back up to her birth weight at her 2week appt. She is a good baby so far. She is now starting to sleep at night until the next feed. At first we were waking up every hour or sooner so I have a much more positive outlook when I am getting some sleep.

My two girls (Brooklyn had been playing in the water hose with Daddy)

Stella's nursery

Here are pictures of Stella's nursery. Thanks to Heather and Clint for all of the help on the nursery.

We painted an old ugly dresser and I think it turned out really great!

Any similiarities?

At this point Stella and Brooklyn do not look exactly alike of course but here is a picture that is very similar. Weird!

Stella Louise has arrived!

Stella Louise entered the world at 12:12 pm on Friday, February 27, 2009. She weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and 21 inches. It was a lot easier than Brooklyn's birth. No broken collarbone this time! We are all getting adjusted including Brooklyn. She is a good big sister and is very loving to Stella. She likes to be with Mommy though. Here are a few pics!

Swimming Lessons

Brooklyn has now been taking swimming lessons for several months with me. We have switched over to Laird taking her on Saturday. She is adjusting to her daddy and her new instructor. Laird is a little more cautious with her as I push her a little more. I am sure he will get a little braver.

Brooklyn 18 month Dancing Queen

Brooklyn went to her 18 month checkup yesterday and had a great report. She had gained 2 1/2 lbs which I thought was good. She weighs in at 22 lbs and 5 oz which is 20th percentile. She is almost 31 inches (did not gain much ehight from last time). Brooklyn is expressing a lot through words these days. She is starting to request by name certain foods. She really had a explosion of vocabulary between 16-17 months. She has several mispronunciations that are funny. She calls a banana (ma). It won't be too long before she is singing. She knows Row, Row, Row part of "Row, Row, Row your boat". She also tries to imitate the alphabet song. She has overall been a very good baby and we are hoping for the same with the second (not getting my hopes up). She is laid back and very sweet. She does have some new dance moves that I got on video. Sorry the video is a little dark.
